Early Life and Family Background

Rayner, born Rayner Bowen, grew up in a dysfunctional family living in poverty. Her childhood was marked by meals often cooked in a deep-fat fryer and weekly baths taken at her grandmother's high-rise flat to save on utility bills.

Marriage and Children

In 2010, Rayner married Mark. Mark became stepfather to her first child, Ryan, whom she had aged 16. The couple later welcomed two more sons, Jimmy and Charlie. In November 2023, Rayner became a grandmother when Ryan and his partner had a daughter, Lilith Mae.

Deputy Leader of the Labour Party

In the same year as her wedding, Rayner took on the role of Deputy Leader of the Labour Party. She has faced some criticism regarding her living arrangements, but a police investigation cleared her of any wrongdoing.
