Boston Celtics improve to 8-2 while New York Knicks fall to 5-4
NEW YORK, NY - Jaylen Brown scored 30 points and Kristaps Porzingis added 22 as the NBA-leading Boston Celtics easily handled the New York Knicks 116-102 on Saturday night.
The Celtics never trailed and led by as many as 22 points in the first half. The Knicks cut the lead to four points with nine seconds left in the third quarter, but the Celtics called their final timeout and regained control of the game.
Brown and Porzingis were too much for the Knicks to handle all night. Brown shot 12-of-19 from the field, while Porzingis went 9-of-15.
The Celtics improved to 8-2 with the win, while the Knicks fell to 5-4. The two teams will meet again on December 4 in Boston.
